“Without music to decorate it, time is just a bunch of boring production deadlines or dates by which bills must be paid.” ― Frank Zappa

Sweet but Deadly (or SBD for short) was founded by a small collective of UK-based DJs and musicians in 2005, to informally organise concerts and clubnights for fans mid-20th Century music - and those musicians directly inspired by that era. From those initial seeds grew a business of regular events and tours. We pride ourselves on bringing the best of the new breed to a wider audience, and also relish bringing back classic bands for a new generation to enjoy.

Thousands of bands have been promoted by SBD over the years; including The Horrors, Ocean Alley, Jordan MacKampa, Lack Of Afro, The Bones Of J.R. Jones, Night Beats, The Underground Youth, Warbly Jets, Avi Buffalo, The Wytches, Twisted Wheel, Magic Wands, Slim Chance, Wolf People, The Fuzztones, Triptides, RedFaces, Hands Off Gretel, The Lovely Eggs, Sarpa Salpa, The Ramonas, The Spitfires, The Schizophonics, Graham Day and The Forefathers, and The Len Price 3.
